Chaim Stepelman is the founder and managing director of Inventive Step, Ltd. He is a licensed Israeli patent attorney with particular expertise and interest in the field of medical technology.
Prior to starting Inventive Step in December 2007, Chaim worked at Luzzatto & Luzzatto, one of Israel’s largest and oldest patent attorney firms, from December 2003 to November 2007. As the only non-pharma patent attorney at L&L’s Jerusalem office, he gained extensive experience in working with numerous clients from a wide range of technological fields, taking them through the patenting process from start to finish.
Inventive Step has evolved from being a patent-search-focused company at its inception, to an IP Services company, covering not only searches, but also drafting and prosecution, as well as offering portfolio management, strategic consulting and patent portfolio valuations.
Chaim has a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, and a BA degree in Engineering Sciences from Yeshiva University. He also received his CPVA (Certified Patent Valuation Analyst) designation from the Business Development Academy in Princeton, NJ.
After years of experience working with clients in the field of Medical Tech, Chaim decided to publish his thoughts and perspectives on the Medical Tech ecosystem as it affects Israel and the world.
